Privacy policy

What we collect

• Wholesale applications: company name, your name and title, business email, phone, business address, company website, business type, expected volume, markets served, resale certificate state and (optionally) your state resale or TPT license number, and any notes you add.
• Quote requests from approved dealers: the models and quantities you request, ship-to ZIP code, timing and notes.
• Technical data: your IP address is recorded with applications, sign-ins and sign-outs, quote requests, downloads, emails we send you, and security events such as failed or rejected requests. Your browser's user-agent string (browser, operating system and device type) is recorded with applications and sign-ins. We use this to run the site and prevent abuse.
• One sign-in cookie for approved dealers, set when you open your private access link. It lasts up to 30 days or until you sign out, is required for the wholesale area to work, and is not used for advertising.

We do not ask for, and please do not enter, Social Security numbers or other government ID numbers on this website, and it does not take card payments. After approval we collect a W-9 and your resale or exemption certificate through [secure method]. These may include a taxpayer identification number and are kept only for tax and accounting purposes.

How we use it

To review applications, run dealer accounts, answer quote requests, prepare estimates and invoices, keep sales tax exemption records, protect the site, and meet legal obligations. We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for advertising on other websites.

Who we share it with

Only service providers that help us run the business, under their own privacy and security terms:

• GoDaddy, which hosts this website.
• Zoho, which we use for estimates and invoices. When you pay an invoice, payment is handled by Zoho's payment service, not by this website.
• Our email provider, for messages about your application and orders.
• Google Fonts, which delivers the typefaces on this site; your browser connects to Google to load them, which shares your IP address with Google.
• Franklin Access Corporation, the manufacturer, when it ships orders directly to you or handles warranty service. [confirm]
• XGen Mobile Corp, an affiliated company whose Microsoft 365 email and Zoho Books systems we share. Its personnel who work on CRD business may see your information. [confirm wording of the affiliate relationship]

We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights.

How we protect it

Pages are served over HTTPS (encrypted connections). Application and dealer records are stored on our web server outside the public web folder. Copies of applications and quote requests are emailed to our sales mailbox. Access is limited to CRD staff and the service providers listed above. The wholesale area uses private, expiring access links instead of passwords, and access can be revoked at any time. No security measure is perfect; if a breach affects your personal information, we will notify you as required by law.

How long we keep it

Applications that are not approved are deleted automatically 90 days after the decision. Security logs are deleted automatically after 12 months. Records for approved dealers, orders and resale certificates are kept as long as needed for the relationship and as required by tax and accounting rules.

Your choices

You can ask us what information we hold about you, correct it, or ask us to delete it, subject to records we must keep by law. Email us at the address below and we will respond within [45 days]. This applies to everyone, including California and Arizona residents.

Do Not Track: this site does not track visitors across other websites, so browser Do Not Track signals do not change how it works.

This site is for businesses and is not directed to children.
